BRAZIL TOURIST VISA

U.S. Passport Holders WILL require a visa. Non U.S. citizens should visit our FAQ section on the left to see if a visa is required.

NOTES: The Brazil consulate will NOT issue visas to children of Brazil Nationals. The consulate will insist that you obtain a Brazil passport for the child in order to enter into Brazil.

1. SUBMIT YOUR ORIGINAL PASSPORT

   	Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of the expected trip
   	You must have a completely empty visa page in your passport. (Note that the last few pages of your passport are amendment pages NOT visa pages)

2. SUBMIT ONE BRAZIL APPLICATION FORM

   	Don't forget to sign the form!
   	Completely fill in the form so as not to delay your application.

3. SUBMIT ONE PASSPORT PHOTO

   This must be a 2x2 (inches) white background photo taken within the past 6 months.

4. FOR APPLICANTS UNDER 18 YEARS OLD - BIRTH CERTIFICATE & ID

   	The birth certificate must have both parents names listed on it.
   	Also include a copy of the parent's ID (Passport, Driver's License, Green Card)

   
   
5. POLIO VACCINATION

   International certificate of vaccination against polio for children between ages of three months and six years. If the child cannot be inoculated, a notarized letter from the child’s physician.

   
   
6. SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRAVEL PLANS

   	This must be a copy of round trip tickets or itinerary from an air carrier or travel agent.
   	It must show flight information, the dates of departure and return to the U.S. and the applicant's name
   	Do NOT send the actual tickets.

   
   
7. SUBMIT PARENTAL CONSENT
   
   

   Choose which ever case matches your circumstances.

   CASE 1: Both parents are traveling with the child AND are submitting their applications for Brazil Visas along with the Child's Visa application
   	Continue to the next step
   CASE 2: If either or both parents are traveling with the child but already have the visa(s).
   	Submit a copy of the information page of the parent(s) passport AND
   	Submit a copy of the page in the passport that shows the current visa AND
   	Submit a letter from the parent(s) stating that they are traveling with the child, but already have their valid visas to enter into Brazil. (Note if both parents fall into this case then both parents must write & sign their OWN letter).
   	If one parent is NOT traveling on this trip you must include the documents for case 3 in ADDITION to the documents for case 2.
   CASE 3: If either or both parents are not traveling with the child, then you must include:
   	Submit a copy of parent(s) passport or birth certificate AND
   	Submit a NOTORIZED letter from the parent(s) stating that they give consent to who the child is traveling with, when and where they are traveling to, and making a request to obtain a visa for the child.

   	If one parent is traveling with the child but already has a valid visa then you must include the documents for case 3 in ADDITION to the documents for case 3.

   
   
8. MONEY ORDER FOR CONSULATE FEE

   	You can make your money order payable to "Consulate of Brazil"
   	This fee must be paid by US Postal Service money order made payable to the Consulate of Brazil.DO NOT SEND PERSONAL OR COMPANY CHECKS.
   	Consulate fees are subject to change at any time without prior notice. It's Easy will not pay consulate fees.

9. NON U.S. PASSPORT HOLDERS - PROOF OF RESIDENCE

   	Submit a copy of your valid Alien Registration Card (Green Card), Visa, or other proof of your legal status in the United States, with the permission for re-entry.
   	If you are only here in the United States as a tourist we cannot help you process your visa, BUT you may be able to get the visa issued by making a personal appearance at the consulate.
