Renew US Passports Requirements (Adult)

1.1

Current Passport

Applicant must submit their current valid or recently expired passport in order to renew the passport. Old Passport will be returned marked "Cancelled" by the US State Department.

1.2

Passport Photos

Applicant must submit two (2) identical passport photographs for passport renewals. These may be obtained at many Post Offices, Kinkos, Mailboxes Etc or similar locations. Poor photos are the most common reason for delay in passport issuance.

Note: If applicant is delivering documents to our offices personally, passport photos can be taken on-site.

Proof of Travel

Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing departure from the U.S. in order to get new passport quickly.

If traveling on business and no itinerary is available, a letter on company letterhead indicating dates and purpose of travel MAY suffice. If applicant does not possess proper itinerary, please contact us for options.

Authorization Letter

Applicant must submit "Letters of Authorization" which allow ItsEasy Passport and its sister companies to submit the application to the US State Dept.

All four letters of authorization must be completed and included.

Government Fees

The US State Dept charges $170 for expedited passport renewals.

This passport renewal fee may be made by personal check (no starter checks), business check or money order made payable to the US State Dept., or may be combined with your service fee credit card payment to ItsEasy when filling out the order form below. If paying by check or money order, include applicants date of birth on memo line.

US Passport Renewal Government Application (DS-82)

Applicant must submit one completed passport renewal application form (DS-82). Renew passport application must be filled out via US State Dept web site link below. This information is not submitted to the government, it is used to create a bar coded renewal application required to expedite the renewal request; hand filled passport renewal applications are not acceptable for expedited renewal services. After filling out a renewal application online, print completed renewal application as instructed.

Note: When asked where you would like your completed passport sent, provide your name with the following address: American Travel Center 360 Lexington Ave New York, NY 10017.

DO NOT forget to sign and date the completed renewal application once it is printed.

Note: Having trouble with the US State Department online passport application site? The State Dept site has been overloaded recently causing it not to function consistently. A paper version of the application is available here, however, applications completed using the paper form may experience slight processing delays.

Personal Letter

If applicants passport expires in less than one year, please move to the next item.

If applicants passport does not expire for more than one year, applicant must include a personal letter explaining the reason for the early passport renewal. Common reasons for early passport renewals may be in preparation for an upcoming trip, few or no blank pages left for visas or outdated passport photo.

Ship Documents to ItsEasy

Ship all renew passport documents to ItsEasy Passport for processing.

ItsEasy recommends our preferred shipping partner Federal Express (FedEx) for document shipping. When completing the online order form above, you will be offered the use of the ItsEasy FedEx account to send document to us. By selecting this service, you will be provided a pre-addressed, pre-paid FedEx air bill upon completion. For urgent processing, it is recommended you select the "First AM" option for sending documents to ItsEasy.
