Belarus Tourist Visa
Expediting Service, Information, Requirements and Application
Belarus requires all foreign nationals
(other than accredited diplomats) entering the country to purchase
medical insurance at the port-of-entry, regardless of any other
insurance they might have. Costs for this insurance will vary according
to the length of stay. (Subject to change, current information puts
costs at approximately $1 for a one or two day stay, $15 for a stay
of up to 31 days, and $85 for a stay of one year.)
A presidential decree adopted in June 2005 requires citizens of
foreign countries to pay a one-time fee when entering/exiting Belarus.
This entry/exit tax currently amounts to approximately $3 per person.
Travelers should receive a receipt and produce this document at
the request of Border Control Officers at border crossing points.
Diplomats and their family members, as well as members of official
delegations and representatives of international organizations,
are exempt from the duty.
To obtain Belarus tourist visas, simply follow the Belarus tourist
visa requirements:

Current
Passport
Applicant must submit their current
passport. Belarus tourist visas are stamped into a passport,
therefore the Belarus Embassy requires the original passport.
Note: In order to obtain Belarus
tourist visas, passport must have one blank visa page and
must not expire within the next six months. If you require passport

Belarus
Tourist Visa Photo Requirement
The Belarus Embassy requires two
(2) identical passport style photographs taken within the last 6 months. Visa photos should not be the same used for the passport.
Applicant must submit a computer-generated
itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing
departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure in Belarus.

Letter of Invitation
Belarus tourist visas require a
copy of the tourist voucher and a copy of the confirmation
from Belarussian hosting tourist organization. Hosting organization
should be registered as a tourist company by the Belarussian
authorities. This registration number should be indicated
in the confirmation.
Fax or scanned/printed are generally acceptable.
