Brazil Business Visas: Chicago

Current Passport

Applicant must submit their current passport. Brazil business visas are stamped into a passport, therefore the Brazil Consulate requires the original passport.

Note: In order to obtain Brazil business visas, passport must have one blank visa page and not expire within the next six months. If you require US passport services, please visit our expedited US passport services section.

Brazil Business Visa Photo Requirement

The Brazil Embassy requires two (2) identical passport style photographs taken within the last 6 months. Visa photos should not be the same used for the passport.

Proof of Travel to Brazil

Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure in Brazil.

Proof of Residency

Applicant must submit legible color copy of their driver's license or state issued ID. If applicant has recently moved and not updated their ID, applicant must also provide a recent utility bill.

Non-US Citizen Requirement

If applicant is not a US citizen, applicant must submit a legible color copy of valid Alien Registration Card (Green Card), Visa, or other proof of legal status in the United States, with permission for re-entry.

Business Cover Letter

All Brazil business visa applicants must submit a Business Cover Letter from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel to Brazil, duration of stay and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the example Business Cover Letter below.

Brazil Business Visa Application

Applicant must submit one completed Brazil business visa application. Select "VISA REQUEST" in the third box to begin the process.

Note: The Brazilian governments online application is not fully FireFox/Macintosh compatible It is recommended applicant use Internet Explorer on a PC platform.
