Current Passport

Applicant must submit their current passport.

Note: In order to obtain Bulgaria visas, passport must have one blank visa page and not expire within the next six months.

1.2

Visa Photo Requirement

The Embassy requires two (2) identical passport style photographs taken within the last 6 months. Visa photos should not be the same used for the passport.

Proof of Travel

Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking engine showing departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure in Bulgaria.

Proof of US Residency

Applicant must submit a legible color copy of valid Alien Registration Card (Green Card), Visa, or other proof of legal status in the United States, with permission for re-entry.

Proof of Health Insurance

Applicant must submit a legible color copy US or international medical insurance card.

Additionally, applicant must provide a letter from medical insurance company stating that applicant will be covered for AT LEAST $5,000 while in Europe for any medical and all medical expenses.

Letter of Invitation

If applicant is requesting a business visa, applicant must submit a Letter of Invitation from the inviting party or organization. The letter should introduce the applicant, detail the purpose of the trip, provide dates of the visit and be signed by a company officer with contact details included.

Fax or scanned/printed are generally acceptable.

Cover Letter

Applicant must provide the Bulgaria Embassy with a personal cover letter describing the purpose of travel to Bulgaria.

Business Visa Requirement

If applicant is requesting a business visa, applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the example Business Cover Letter below.

The following Bulgaria visas are generally available for non-US citizens. Please note that entries, validates, processing times and fees may vary based on nationality:

Bulgaria Embassy fees may be paid by credit card when filling out the ItsEasy online order form below or via money order made payable to "Embassy of Bulgaria". Non-US citizens are encouraged to pay via credit card to avoid potential delays.

Ship Documents to ItsEasy

Ship all visa documents to ItsEasy Passport and Visa for processing.

ItsEasy recommends our preferred shipping partner Federal Express (FedEx) for document shipping. When completing the online order form above, you will be offered the use of the ItsEasy FedEx account to send document to us. By selecting this service, you will be provided a pre-addressed, pre-paid FedEx air bill upon completion. For urgent processing, it is recommended you select the "First AM" option for sending documents to ItsEasy.
