When to Apply for Burma Visas
We recommend that you apply for your visa 1 to 2 weeks before your
travel date. The processing time of your visa is at the consulate's
discretion. Although 90% of the visas are done in the 7 day time
frame - the consulate does maintain the right to hold applications
while waiting for approval from it's ministry of foreign affairs,
or while conducting background checks. For that reason we always
recommend that applicant's give themselves another week to process
their visas.

How Long Are Burma Visas Valid
Myanmar tourist visas are normally valid for 4 weeks stays, where
the applicant must enter into Myanmar within 3 months of the issue
date of the visa. Business visas can often be valid for up to10
weeks stays where the applicant must enter into Myanmar within 3
months of the issue date of the visa. If a business traveler wants
their visas to be valid for longer than the standard 4 weeks then
the company (in the U.S.) should include in their letter a request
for a visa of longer validity.
