Citizens of all countries except those listed
to the right require visas to enter China.
Ordinary passport holders from Singapore, Brunei
and Japan can gain access to China without applying for visas
for up to 15 days for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives
and friends, or transit. They can enter and exit from the
ports that are open to foreigners.

To obtain China visas, simply follow the visa requirements below:
1.1
Current
Passport
Applicant must submit their current
passport.
Note: In order to obtain China
visas, passport must have one blank visa page and not expire
within the next six months.
1.2
Visa Photo Requirement
The Embassy requires two (2) identical
passport style photographs taken within the last 6 months.
Visa photos should not be the same used for the passport.
Applicant must submit a computer-generated
itinerary from a travel agency or online booking engine showing
departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure in China.
1.4
Proof
of US Residency
Applicant must submit a legible
color copy of valid Alien Registration Card (Green Card),
Visa, or other proof of legal status in the United States,
with permission for re-entry.
For applicants of Arizona, Southern California, Hawaii, New
Mexico, Pacific Islands, applicant MUST submit original green
card.

Child Requirement
For all applicants under 18 years a clear copy
of a birth certificate must be provided.
If applicant is under 18 years old and traveling
with both parents: Applicant must include copies
of the information page of both parents passports or drivers
license
If applicant is under 18 years old and traveling
with one parent: Applicant must include copies of
the information page of both parents passports or drivers
license and a completed authorization letter. Click

with neither parent: Applicant must include copies
of the information page of both parents passports or drivers
license and a completed authorization letter. Click

Business
Visa Requirement
If applicant is requesting
a business visa, applicant must submit Letter of
Invitation from the inviting party or organization. The letter
should introduce the applicant, detail the purpose of the
trip, provide dates of the visit and be signed by a company
officer with contact details included.
Fax or scanned/printed are generally acceptable.
1.7
Business
Visa Requirement
If applicant is requesting
a business visa, applicant must submit a Business
Cover Letter from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel,
duration and moral and financial responsibilities. Please
review the example Business Cover Letter below.
Applicant must submit one completed visa application.
The application is a fillable PDF. The application MUST
be completed by filling in the spaces on the PDF provided,
then print the document and then sign.
Any question which
does not need to be answered must be completed
using "N/A".
Incomplete applications
or applications completed by hand or altered/corrected after
printing will be rejected.
For applicants residing in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode
Island, Vermont:
Note: If applicant is former Chinese
citizen (including Taiwanese), applicant must submit previous
Chinese passport or proof of previously issued Chinese visa.
Applicant must write name in Chinese characters where requested
on application. If applicant is former Taiwanese national,
applicant must list "China" as place of birth on
application.

Citizens of France, Kenya, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Ghana
and Nigeria
Applicants from these countries
may only select Non-Rush, 4-day service (and processing times
may take up to 20 days). Additionally, embassy will require
supporting documents including confirmed hotel reservation,
recent bank statement, original green card or supporting visa
documentation and for tourist travel, a letter from employer
indicating position, time with company and that applicant
will be on leave and will not be working on behalf of the
company while in China.

China Embassy fees may be paid by credit card when filling
out the ItsEasy online order form below or via money order
made payable to "Embassy of China". Non-US citizens
are encouraged to pay via credit card to avoid potential delays.
NOTE: Applicants
applying for multiple entry business visas are encouraged
to provide a business cover letter and invitation letter specifically
requesting a multiple-entry visa; OR provide proof of prior
Chinese visas (applicant may submit previous passport in addition
to current passport if Chinese visas are in previous passport.
There is no guarantee China will issue a multiple entry visa
under any circumstances and it is the applicants responsibility
to review their completed visa upon receipt and plan accordingly.

"Processing" refers to business days in the embassy
and does not include processing or shipping. NOTE: Embassy
