China Tourist Visas

Current Passport

Applicant must submit their current passport. China tourist visas are stamped into a passport, therefore the China Embassy requires the original passport.

Note: In order to obtain China tourist visas, passport must have one blank visa page and must not expire within the next six months. If you require passport services, please visit our expedited passport services section.

1.2

China Tourist Visa Photo Requirement

The China Embassy requires two (2) identical passport style photographs taken within the last 6 months. Visa photos should not be the same used for the passport.

Proof of Travel to China

Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure in China.

Child Requirement

For all applicants under 18 years a clear copy of a birth certificate must be provided.

If applicant is under 18 years old and traveling with both parents: Applicant must include copies of the information page of both parents passports or drivers license

If applicant is under 18 years old and traveling with one parent: Applicant must include copies of the information page of both parents passports or drivers license and a completed authorization letter. Click here to print the letter (one parent only).

If applicant is under 18 years old and traveling with neither parent: Applicant must include copies of the information page of both parents passports or drivers license and a completed authorization letter. Click here to print the letter (without parents).

China Tourist Visa Application

Applicant must submit one completed visa application. The application is a fillable PDF. The application MUST be completed by filling in the spaces on the PDF provided, then print the document and then sign.

Any question which does not need to be answered must be completed using "N/A".

Incomplete applications or applications completed by hand or altered/corrected after printing will be rejected.

For applicants residing in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont:

Note: If applicant is not a US citizen, please review requirements here.

Note: If applicant is former Chinese citizen (including Taiwanese), applicant must submit previous Chinese passport or proof of previously issued Chinese visa. Applicant must write name in Chinese characters where requested on application. If applicant is former Taiwanese national, applicant must list "China" as place of birth on application.

China Tourist Visas and Fees

The following China tourist visas are available:

China Embassy fees may be paid by credit card when filling out the ItsEasy online order form below or via money order made payable to "Embassy of China".

NOTE: Applicants applying for multiple entry visas are encouraged to provide proof by way of itinerary of three or more entries into mainland China; OR provide proof of prior Chinese visas (applicant may submit previous passport in addition to current passport if Chinese visas are in previous passport. There is no guarantee China will issue a multiple entry visa under any circumstances and it is the applicants responsibility to review their completed visa upon receipt and plan accordingly.

Note: If ordering same day service, applicant must select ship documents using FedEx First AM. This option is available when completing the online order form.

Ship China Tourist Visa Documents to ItsEasy

Ship all China tourist visa documents to ItsEasy Passport and Visa for processing.

ItsEasy recommends our preferred shipping partner Federal Express (FedEx) for document shipping. When completing the online order form above, you will be offered the use of the ItsEasy FedEx account to send document to us. By selecting this service, you will be provided a pre-addressed, pre-paid FedEx air bill upon completion. For urgent processing, it is recommended you select the "First AM" option for sending documents to ItsEasy.
