How Long Are India Visas Valid
Visa's to India are always valid for 90 day stays. They are usually
multiple entry visas valid for travel during a 5 year period, but
they are sometimes only valid for a 90 day period. The India consulate
will decide how long a visa you will be given.

How To "Read" India Visas

1) Surname
Applicants last name
2) Name
Applicants first name
3) Type
T=tourist, B=business.
4) Date of Issue
Indicates the date the visa was issued
5) Date of Expiry
Indicates the date that the visa expires
6) Number of Entries
Indicates the number of times the applicant may enter during the
duration of the visa. In almost all cases, India issues multiple
entry visa meaning unlimited entries.
7) Passport Number
Indicates the number of the passport the visa was issued for

Often left blank
9) Number of Children
Often left blank unless accompanying minor children whose visa applications
were submitted together

What is An "Entry" (Single
/ Double / Multiple)
Single entry visas allow you to enter India one time within
the validity of the visa. Double entry visas allow you to enter
India two times within the validity of the visa. Multiple
entry visas allow you to enter India an unlimited amount of
times within the validity of the visa.
