When to Apply for United Kingdom Visas
We suggest you apply for your visa at least 1 week ahead
of your travel plans. UK visas are usually issued in 2 business
days. The UK Consulate enforces a strict drop off time for courier
services. ItsEasy must be inside the UK Consulate BEFORE 10AM
to drop off any application. Consequently, applications we receive
for UK visas normally go in the day after we receive them into our
office.
The processing time of your visa is at the consulate's
discretion. Although 90% of the visas are done in the 2 day time
frame - the consulate does maintain the right to hold applications
while waiting for approval from it's ministry of foreign affairs,
or while conducting background checks. For that reason we always
recommend that applicant's give themselves another week to process
their visas.

How Long Are United Kingdom Visas
Valid
UK visas are valid according the visa that you applied for. The
tourist visas are usually valid for 6 months, while the work permit
and dependent visas are usually valid for the time frame specified
on your work permit. Your visa stamp will specify the exact terms
of your visa.

How To "Read" United Kingdom Visas

1) Valid From
This is the date in which you can enter into England (Your cannot
go before this date, but you can go in after this date) (dd/mm/yy).
The holder of this visa can enter into England anytime on and after
November 11th, 2003.
2) Valid Until
This is the validity length of the visa. You cannot enter into England
after this date (dd/mm/yy) This visa holder's visa expires on May
20th, 2004.
3) Duration of Stay
How long the visa holder can stay in England each trip (each stay).
This visa allows the holder to stay up to 180 days, or 6 months
before they are required to leave the country.
the above example is a multiple entry visa. So the above visa holder
can go in and out of England as many times as he/she wants between
November 11th, 2003 and May 20th, 2004. They can go for a visit
of up to 6 months. (Of course they can also go in to the UK for
a week and then return to the U.S. and then go back for 3 weeks
if they so choose).

What is An "Entry" (Single
/ Double / Multiple)
Single entry visas allow you to enter United Kingdom one time within
the validity of the visa. Double entry visas allow you to enter
United Kingdom two times within the validity of the visa. Multiple
entry visas allow you to enter United Kingdom an unlimited amount of
times within the validity of the visa.
