When to Apply for Vietnam Visas
We recommend that you apply for your visa 3 to 4 weeks before your
travel date. Vietnam mission in New York will take a minimum of
1 week to process your visa. If your travel plans do not allow for
the 1 week processing time, give our office a call at 1-866-ITS-EASY
(1-866-487-3279), one of our agents will see what can be done for
you.
The processing time of your visa is at the consulate's discretion.
Although 90% of the visas are done in the 5 day time frame - the
consulate does maintain the right to hold applications while waiting
for approval from it's ministry of foreign affairs, or while conducting
background checks. For that reason we always recommend that applicant's
give themselves another few days to process their visas.
