What is a Visa?

A visa is a pre-approval from a foreign country allowing you to travel to their country. U.S. citizens can travel to many countries without a visa, however there are several countries like Kenya, China, Brazil and Russia that require a visa in advance. We will submit your request for the visa to Kenya on your behalf. The approved visa will be glued into your passport, which is why the original passport is required for the visa submission.

When you arrive at the airport to depart on your trip, your airline will verify that you have the appropriate visa. Upon arrival in Kenya immigration will review your passport and visa before permitting you to enter their country. If your visa is not valid you will not be permitted to enter and will be sent back to the U.S.

Once in Kenya you are free to travel wherever you like. If you leave Kenya your documents will be rechecked upon your re-entry.

How Long are Kenya Visas Good For?

Kenya offers two different time periods. You can either chose six months or five years, whichever is best for you.

What is Kenya Visa Validity?

Validity refers to both how long the visa is good for and how long you can stay in the country. U.S. citizens are generally given either a six month or five year visa. These times periods are available for both tourist or business visas.
